FAQ

What self-test kits can be used with this product?

We currently certify the following UK Approved SELF-TESTS that have been CE Marked for Self-Testing and independently tested by UK regulators:

* ACON Flowflex™ SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test (Self-Testing)

* Hughes Healthcare COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Lateral Flow Test Kit (Self-Test)

Please note that we can ONLY certify the tests devices listed above. Before you purchase this service, make sure you have access to either one of these tests.

NHS test kits can not be used with this service.

When can I take my test?

Using the Certific App, it is possible to perform a test 365 days a year.

For tests completed after 10pm, medical certificates may only be available from 8am the following day.

Each country determines the period of time during which the antigen test must be performed in order to enter the country. Check the conditions of entry into the country on the website www.gov.uk or on the website of the embassy of the country of destination.

Why am I being video-recorded and who will view this?

A video of the Covid-19 testing process is required to verify your identity, your test device, the accuracy of your sampling, and your test result. A medically supervised Test Control Officer will review your test.  Please note that without a clear video recording of the test being done, we will not be able to issue your certificate.

What happens to recording once the process is finished?

We aim at retaining your personal data for a minimum period of time, however, as healthcare providers we have legal obligations to retain personal data for certain periods of time. Certific does not retain personal data longer than it is necessary for the purposes of processing personal data or pursuant to applicable law.

For detailed information, please see our privacy policy here

You can use your data subject rights, for instance, "right to be forgotten", by sending a request to dpo@certific.co

Is the service also suitable for children?

For children under 12 years of age, the test must be performed by an adult.   When performing the test for your child, please ensure that the test process is clearly visible on the screen. Please do not block the camera view at any time.

For those aged 12-17, the test must be performed under adult supervision.

What does a positive test mean?

A positive result indicates that you are infected with the coronavirus and potentially infectious to others.

If you have tested positive, please follow the government guidelines for your country or contact your GP for more information.

What does a negative test show?

Although the sensitivity and accuracy of antigen tests are very good, they are not comparable to the gold standard for testing, the PCR test. If your antigen test was negative, you do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and you are not known to have been exposed to COVID-19, then you are probably not infected with the coronavirus.

Is Certific a UK government authorised provider?
